Attending school is vitally important for every child.  The link between attendance and attainment is clear with only 40% of persistently absent children achieving the expected academic standards at the end of KS2.  Attending school regularly can also help children develop good peer relationships which helps emotional health and wellbeing.

There are 365 days in a year, of which 190 are school days.  There are 175 weekends and holiday already!

If your child is feeling unwell, it can be tricky to decide whether to send them to school or not.  Here is a useful NHS guide to help.
