Shapes and Shadows

To finish their recent maths topic on shape, the children in Class One have been doing some problem solving tasks.  On a lovely sunny day they were investigating which 3D shape could have made the 2D shadows.  The children demonstrated some fantastic reasoning skills when explaining their answers…

Tricky Maths

Class 5 have been working hard to develop their understanding of tenths, hundredths and thousandths using dienes. Children worked in groups to write the dienes shown as a decimal, fraction and in words. I am very impressed with just how quickly the children are picking up this tricky maths work…
