Welcome to Class 1
It was lovely to welcome the new Class 1 into school yesterday. They were all very excited to explore their new classroom and see their friends again. The children enthusiastically shared the holiday postcards they had made and we will be using these to decorate the maps in our classroom. We enjoyed seeing their lovely pictures and writing and hearing them speak so articulately about their postcards.
Mrs Ibbetson and I are really looking forward to getting to know our new class and to watching their achievements throughout the year. Although there will be more table work in Class 1 than the children have been used to, we have some very exciting topics and books to introduce which I am sure will captivate them and make their learning fun - and as they also found out yesterday, there will still be plenty of time to learn independently in our new areas of provision!
