Spellings
This week the children will be taking home their first set of spelling words to learn. We will choose the children's spellings from the High Frequency Word list for year one, and the tricky words from their phonics lessons that they are finding difficult to remember. We have taught the children to Look, cover, write and check' but anything you can do at home to help them learn them, and really embed them so that they can remember the correct spelling in their sentence writing, would be fantastic.
