Soil Investigation
Class 3 have enjoyed putting their knowledge of rocks and soils to the test and investigating the permeability of soil from around the school grounds. Working in groups, the children selected an area of the school grounds to investigate, gathered their samples and set up an investigation back in the classroom.
Each group compared the school soil to a sample of sandy soil, making excellent predictions before the investigation began. Once complete the children were able to discuss what happened and suggest scientific reasons for their findings.
Excellent work Class 3, we are becoming super scientists!
