SITE Initial Design Phase
Children were given a wide range of building materials that they were familiar with using and asked to create a shelter for an animal. They worked in partners and had some great discussions, we will evaluate these initial builds to help us when we design our final projects.

SITE project - Local Habitat Research

Musical Dinosaurs!
Class 2are enjoying exploring their topic of dinosaurs in their Friday music lessons with Mrs Crowley. They are moving the different beats, responding to loud and quiet sounds and using their imaginations to create their own musical movements.

Welcome to Class 2!

Beatrix Potter

Healthy week

Radishes!
We were so happy to harvest the radishes which we planted earlier in the year. Everyone got to taste them and we thought that they were delicious, crunchy and very peppery!

Shadwell in Bloom
Today Margaret from Shadwell in Bloom came to visit each class. We got to plant some flowers in a big planter to be shown over the Summer! The theme is 'Suffragettes' and we learnt a little about the Suffragette movement.

Making kites for our SITE project
This term our science topic has been 'uses of everyday materials'. We used our knowledge and skills to design and make kites. We had such fun flying them on the school field!

All Stars cricket coaching
The children in KS1 have been so lucky to welcome Tom from All Stars cricket into school this half term for weekly cricket coaching sessions. The children have had so much fun whilst learning new batting, bowling and fielding skills. The 'cricket world cup' was a real highlight!

Happy Australia Day!
G-day mate! Class 2 kicked off their Australia topic by celebrating Australia Day in school. We had the opportunity to dress up and enjoy traditional music and food whilst also learning lots of new facts about Australia.
