Black History Month - Harriet Tubman

Image of Black History Month - Harriet Tubman

Class Three have had a fantastic start to their Black History Month work. We have learnt about the life of Harriet Tubman including; the struggles she faced as a slave in Maryland, her heroic work on the Underground Railroad and why her legacy is remembered today. We read the story "Before She Was Harriet" and discussed the many amazing roles and jobs she had throughout her life. Class Three have produced some fantastic flap books to demonstrate our learning so far and are very excited to continue our learning about Harriet Tubman next week!
