Class 2 Flight Day

Class 2 have had a fantastic flight day, arriving as a wonderful collection of pilots, astronauts, birds and many other flying things they quickly set about their challenges for the day!
In the morning, they had to complete a history of transport hunt and find the missing information from their sheets. Then, as a class we ordered the images we found and the children recalled their work on chronological order very well.
Next, working in groups, the children took on a plane challenge. Each group was given a set of instructions for a different paper plane, which they had to make to fly in our competition. The winning plane travelled an amazing 6 metres!
After lunch, we decided to make a HUGE class kite, along with some smaller kites to test out in the wind. We were extremely pleased with the finished products, they flew better than we imagined!

Well done Class 2, you certainly deserved the class treat we had to end our day!
