Dissecting Lilies
Today, we launched our new SITE topic of 'life cycles of a plant'.
Before we can learn about pollination, reproduction and seed dispersal, we needed to learn all the different parts of a plant and their functions, including whether they are male or female.
We dissected lilies to get some hands on knowledge of the different parts of a plant. We then checked our understanding by labeling a different flower and explaining the function of each part.
Super hands on work from Year 5 today with lots of curiosity about what we will learn this term!
