Jamaican maths

In Class One we have been learning about Jamaica and comparing it to the United Kingdom.  We have compared the weather, the landscape and the foods and today the children had the chance to sample some real Jamaican products.  However, first they had to find the length and mass of each of them, using all the maths skills we have covered recently.  After lots of fabulous measuring the children finally got to eat mango and pawpaw and some lovely plantain chips.  Maths has never been so delicious!
