In our History topic today, we did a round-robin style activity to explore different artefacts. Each table had a different picture related to the Romans. Class 4 had to explore what they thought it was, what it was used for and who would use it. The children had some great ideas about what they were and were shocked to find that only certain people could read or write! 

At the end of the lesson, they were told what each object really was and who would use it - even finding out that some of the things are still used today!
