UK Day

The children had lots of fun finding out about the four countries of the United Kingdom during UK day.  After exploring artefacts and books about the countries, the children wrote information sheets about England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland and then each group presented their work to the rest of the class.  They listened to bagpipe music, had a go at Irish dancing, answered the register in Welsh and made and decorated biscuits with the flag of their chosen country.  Everyone worked really hard and it was a great way to finish off their first half term in Class One.
