Welcome to Year 6!
We've had a brilliant first couple of days in Class 6 and the children are already acting as great role models for the younger children with their attitude and behaviour.
We've been talking about all of the exciting things we will be doing this year such as the residential, production, trips and buddies and also about what it takes to do well in year 6 and the amount of work and effort we will put in both in class and for the sports teams.
We discussed our SMSC question 'What makes a good global citizen?', and the children had lots of interesting answers particularly around protecting the environment. We also introduced our new World War 2 topic and lots of children achieved silver and gold rewards for their effort and contributions.
The children were very excited to receive their high-school style planners and they've already started collecting stamps. As you can see from the pictures we've had fun creating our 'All About Me' collages today.
I'm very much looking forward to getting to know the children better and working with them and their families in what will be a year full of fantastic achievements and lifelong memories.
