Day in the life of a High School Student
Today we have experienced a day in the life of a high school student at Wetherby High School. The children loved having the chance to mix with their Bramham friends for the day and get to know each other a little more in the run up to our residential in a couple of weeks. They were also commended for their manners, behaviour, engagement and their use of prior knowledge!
We had the opportunity to take part in a variety of different lessons including art, French, computing, music, history, PE and science. In art, we explored the use of tone in graffiti. In French, we learnt how to say the names of different animals. In computing, we learnt to code using Scratch. In music, we used drums to compose a piece of music. In history, we learnt about life in the trenches. In PE, we took part in basketball drills and games. In science, we explored chemical reactions. We also experienced a coaching session which Wetherby students attend 3 times a week to check in with their tutors and other pupils.
Thank you Wetherby for providing us with a taste of the next step in our lives, we've had a fantastic day!
