We read the highly poignant war poem, In Flanders Field by John McRae and discussed the beauty of the poppy. Children then created their own poppy art work using glue and pastel.
In Year 3 we learnt about two famous collage artists and used their techniques to create our own designs.
We have been looking at instructional writing this half term and discussed the vocabulary of washing. As we didn't have access to woolly mammoth's, we helped out Mrs Pelc by washing some of the toys that the reception children had been playing with!
Year 3 have wowed us with the effort they put into their homework activities this half term! The children were challenged to find out about some of the counties of the UK and produce a poster. The children learnt a lot from each other when they shared their homework and they were clearly proud of each other. Well done!
We all enjoyed working together using our speaking and listening skills when it was No Pens Wednesday.
In Year 3 we made magnetic games to share with Class R. We really enjoyed thinking about our target market and researching their interests. We used our science skills and DT skills to make a brilliant selection of games!
