Today the children made these fantastic Roman mosaics! The children enjoyed creating the boarder pattern using brightly coloured glass tiles.

We were especially buzzing with excitement as we read a news article, only released yesterday, outlining that archaeologists have uncovered and dated Britain's first 5th century Roman mosaic discovered at Chedworth Roman Villa in Gloucestershire- a find described as of "enormous" historical significance. We noticed that the mosaic boarder pattern was similar to the one we were making!
