Parachutes
Today, we completed our SITE project, which was to make a working parachute using all of our knowledge about forces.
The children worked in small groups to plan and carefully select their resources before then making and testing their parachutes. We tested them by launching them out of the classroom window whilst they held an egg. The challenge was to make a parachute that would travel and land safely enough to protect the egg inside (unfortunately, we had a few fatalities!). A great day with lots of excellent team work too!
