Welcome to Class 5
It has been lovely to welcome our new Year 5 class back to school. There have already been lots of smiles and giggles shared as the children catch up with their peers, Mrs Bourne and get to know myself too!
We've had lots of fun already: creating Peter Thorpe inspired art, writing our own Happy News paper (and being retweeted by the Happy News too!) and beginning our new SITE topic about space and our new geography topic about the world. We've also enjoyed hearing all about what everyone has been up to during not only the summer holidays but during lockdown too.
As we start to settle in to more of a routine, it is clear that the children are prepared for Upper Key Stage 2 - they have come back to school with a positive attitude, a super growth mindset and are already wowing me with all of their creative ideas. I can't wait to see what we can achieve this year.
