World Book Day
From Stickman to Snow White and Horrid Henry to Matilda, Class One was full of wonderful book characters on Thursday. Following the School theme of poetry, the children learnt "The Sound Collector" by Roger McGough. To pick up some tips about how to perform poetry we watched Joe Coehlo - the children thought he was really cool! They then performed the poem to their friends in Class R using their new skills - it was a very theatrical recital.
We were also very impressed with all the amazing "book in a box" creations and the confident way the children presented their boxes to the class. Well done Class One - you are all book superstars!
