As part of our learning this term, we have explored States of Matter and how they change. The children's project was to use this knowledge to create an Easter themed treat. 

They used candles to melt the chocolate (changing state from a solid to a liquid) and then used cooling once the treat was made to change state again! They will also use this practical skill to write instructions as part of their cross-curricular work. 

As well as our learning on states of matter, the children used prior knowledge to understand why we used a metal bowl and explored other safety aspects too. Well done Year 4, I hope you enjoyed your well earned treats!
