Debate Competition

Today we took part in Leeds Primary Schools Debating Competition.

The motion was "Children under 14 years of age should take part in paid work" and we proposed the motion.

Despite a nervous bus journey, our team was confident, persuasive and clear. Their arguments were spoken with conviction and they were even able to use expression to emphasize certain points.

With 21 fantastic teams in the running, it was certainly a tough competition and unfortunately, we didn't quite make it through to the next round.

However, it was a great learning experience and we had a fantastic time watching our Bramham team compete too.

All of us at Shadwell Bramham Federation are so proud of the efforts that both teams put in, really making the most of this fantastic opportunity!
