School trip to Fairburn Ings nature reserve

Image of School trip to Fairburn Ings nature reserve

We had a wonderful time at Fairburn Ings nature reserve. We went pond dipping and found lots of insects that lived in a pond habitat. We used a chart to identify them and we found out lots of new information. Andy from Fairburn Ings showed us all around the nature reserve and talked to us about different habitats and what animals lived there. We fed the ducks special bird seed and we had a yummy lunch on the picnic benches. It was a really warm day and we had lots of fun being plant detectives in the wild meadow. Have a look at our photographs!
