Wombat goes Walkabout
We have absolutely loved reading 'Wombat goes Walkabout' by Michael Morpurgo this half term. The story was chosen as our special story to learn about as it is set in Australia, linking to our topic work. The children worked really hard on lots of English work and have completed this half term by writing their own versions of the story. The writing is absolutely fantastic and the children should be so proud of their stories!
We changed the characters, setting and 'problem' but kept the format of the story the same. Some of the stories which the children wrote were titled, 'Croc goes swimabout', 'Eagle goes flyabout' and 'Penguin goes skateabout'!
The stories were an absolute delight to read. Well done class 2!
