Debate
Class 5 had a fantastic time working on their debating skills last half term. Throughout the topic, we worked on building our confidence to stand in front of the class and deliver our arguments; the warm-ups we did at the start of each lesson sure got us excited and prepared for speaking and listening! We have also worked on expression and emphasis to make sure we are as persuasive as possible. The children produced some impressive arguments as to why the rainforest should be saved and have delievered their arguments with such determination and confidence in front of the whole class! Everybody in Class 5 should be very proud of themselves.

We are now preparing for the Leeds Debating Competition where the children are proposing the motion that mobile phones should be allowed in school.
