From maths to pizzas!
In Reception our learning is very much child-led and this week the children led us in a very unexpected direction! Whilst investigating the number 6, the children suggested we use pizza to practise sharing 6 pieces between two. They continued their learning independently in the playdough area, which led to our very own playdough pizza shop. On Friday the children made 5 real pizzas, which were each cut into 6 pieces and enjoyed by everyone. Mathematical problem solving has never been so much fun!
