Our First Half Term
Class R have had a wonderful first half term at school. Our main aim has been to ensure that the children are all well settled and happy at school and they have amazed us with how well they have all got used to school life and made the most of every day. They have been very busy!
- We have found out all about ourselves - our bodies, our families, our homes - we even met a skeleton.
- We had a wonderful Autumn Explorer day and investigated Autumn, noticing the changes in the environment and doing lots of Autumn crafts.
- We celebrated Diwali, learning all about both the Sikh and Hindu Festivals.
In between all of this we have been learning the Phase 2 sounds and tricky words in Phonics, practised our letter formation, taken home our first reading books and begun to explore number and shape in maths.
