The Y5 football team played a match today as they hosted West End in the league. With the squad number well into its 20s there were lots of substitutions throughout the match, but the team tried to not let it disrupt their flow in the game, with each player putting in just as much effort as the previous. Even though we lost the game, good fun was had by all, and it gives everyone that bit more experience of playing for school when they play in the future.

It was a different style of game as it was played on a more compact astro turf pitch, which meant less time on the ball and blocking shots as important as ever. The team got off to a great start early on when goals from Isla (3) and Hetty took the lead. The girls were able to play some great football and further goals from Mega, Lucy, Sukhmann, Emelia, Hajrah and Emily sealed a great win to end a brilliant term of sport!
