Y5/6 Girls’ Football 1st team away at Highfield (29/3/19) – Won 2-0

29 March 2019

To finish off what has been a phenomenal half term of sport the girls’ football 1st team travelled to 3rd place Highfield.
After such a lot of sport in the last few weeks it was no wonder the girls got off to a fairly slow start by their standards; Alina was required to make a couple of great saves early on. As the half progressed the girls grew into the game, eventually making the breakthrough when Isla tapped in Megan’s cross to make it 1-0. The team battled hard for every challenge throughout the 2nd half showing great determination, and after some great work from Lucy down the left, Sukhmann powered in a shot passed the keeper.
The final score remained 2-0 and the girls should be proud of using any energy they had left to get a great win!
